Los Angeles gets nearly 40% of its energy from two dirty, out-of-state coal-fired power plants. These coal plants discharge vast quantities of air pollution, consume huge amounts of water and emit destructive global warming gases. Instead of giving our money to these heavy polluting facilities, we want to invest in local clean energy, energy efficiency, and jobs here in Los Angeles.
